9:30 Circuit of flowers, stop in the hinterland of the Alps Marittime of the 84th Tour of Italy 2001
tot. 130 km .
The pink race touched via Aurelia, through Ospedaletti, Bordighera, Vallecrosia, Camporosso Mare up to Nervia where it entered in the Nervia Valley up to Isolabona; then it steered towards Apricale and climbed Baiardo (900m above sea level, the first Gran Prix of the Mountain), contiuing for Passo Ghimberga (898 m above sea level), Ceriana and the Poggio of San Remo; then climbed up the Argentina Valley, with passage to Taggia, Badalucco, Molini di Triora to arrive at the Langan crossway (1093 m above sea level) and face Mount Ceppo (1504 m above sea level, second Gran Prix of the Mountain); and lastly doing a second passage on Ghimbegna you entered in San Remo.
